At Home with Luisa Reichert
We visited Luisa at her home in the Taunus region, where she has created a modern yet cosy retreat for herself and her young family, featuring open, light-filled spaces.
Dream Kitchen
In her childhood home, Luisa has created a true dream home with great dedication and attention to detail. The solid wood kitchen in Scandi style is custom-made, and she and her husband searched for a long time to find the perfect natural stone for the kitchen island.
Lots of light
They made several changes to the original layout: walls were removed, and windows were added. Now, the kitchen, dining, and living areas feature expansive window fronts that offer an unobstructed view of nature—without the need for curtains or drapes.
Like the kitchen, the dining area features a modern and clean look while still feeling inviting. This is achieved through plenty of wood and the comfortable Haku chairs with leather upholstery.
The open-plan living room connects directly to the dining area—perfect for long evenings with family and dinner gatherings with friends. In the lounge area, Luisa has focused on the essentials: a large sofa landscape with cosy cushions, a plush rug, and three tables for plenty of coffee table styling.
As soon as you reach the first floor via the staircase, you are greeted by a simple yet charming arrangement of tables in varying heights and a sculptural vase. This corner is perfect for seasonal styling with branches, bouquets, and decorative pieces.
Calming Space
The bedroom is also kept minimalistic, yet it feels exceptionally cosy thanks to warm natural materials and carefully selected decorative pieces. The wide bedhead frames the sleek bedside tables, while a sideboard separates the bed from the rest of the room.
"In my study, it was important to me that it has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere – a place where you truly enjoy spending time."
Sofia is the perfect XL reading chair in front of the minimalist bookshelf.
